The team behind Codevio have been working together since 1997 and were the founders
of Home Media Networks
Limited (HMN) – the company behind the highly influential
ShowShifter product line.
Codevio retains the original management team from HMN, with over 20 years combined
experience operating in the software industry.
Colin Tinto. Colin is Managing Director of
Codevio and is one of the three founders of Codevio. Before Codevio,
Colin was one of the founders of Home Media Networks Limited set up in February
2000. Colin was instrumental in raising a total of £1.4m in funding for HMN post
dotcom crash and led the team that developed the ShowShifter application into the
defacto standard for PC based TV viewing and recording applications, receiving critical
acclaim and many awards on the way. HMN was acquired by SkyNetGlobal Limited in
April 2005, and Colin moved on to start Codevio shortly afterwards. Previously
Colin worked for Spider Systems, an Edinburgh based networking company, starting
as a graduate engineer and rising through the ranks to project consultant. In parallel,
Colin is one of the founders of The Internet Movie Database Limited (www.imdb.com),
acquired by Amazon.com
in 1998.
Colin is an experienced team leader and project manager, with strong software architecture
and design skills, and works with Codevio's clients to provide requirement analysis
and software requirement specifications.
Michael Tortolano. Michael is a founder and

At HMN, Michael was a key driving force for the product line designing and developing
the ground breaking digital media elements of ShowShifter such as the analog and

providing services to top tier vendors such as Intel, AMD and Micronas. Previous
to HMN, Michael worked as a project manager and team leader at Edinburgh based Spider
Systems for 5 years. Michael served his apprenticeship in software working on navigational
products for seismic surveys for Concept Systems, and defense industry software
at GEC Ferranti.

of Codevio. Before starting Codevio, Berrie was also one of the
founders of Home Media Networks Limited. At HMN, Berrie designed and developed the
modular infrastructure that formed the backbone of the ShowShifter application,
as well as creating it’s unique ‘10ft’ user interface system. Previously Berrie

Before joining Spider, Berrie developed and released a PC version of the popular
Chinese game Mah Jongg,
and successfully marketed and sold it around the world.
